The
Federal Government of Nigeria has appointed Madedor and Company to carry
out an asset valuation on its properties located along Saka Tinubu Street
Victoria Island Lagos. MC's appointment was communicated via a letter from
the Presidency's implementation committee of the white paper on the commission
of inquiry into the alienation of Federal Government landed property. Saka
Tinubu is a major telecommunication hub in Nigeria. NITEL, the recently
privatised national telecommunication carrier, has its interconnection centre
and international exchange located on Saka Tinubu.

Lagos scramble for properties along Saka Tinubu to enable them connect easily
via fibre optics to NITEL's facility. NITEL carry's a lot of traffic for
the PTO's. In fact the PTO's are dependent on NITEL, a strike action some
months back by employees of NITEL almost crashed the operations of the PTO's.
The Federal Government's intention is to offload these properties on the
open market. MC can advise PTO's, financial institutions and other corporations
involved in e-commerce on possible acquisition or redevelopment of these
